Seeing is Believing

Did you know that vision is your dominant sense? Researchers estimate that up to 85% of our perception, learning, cognition, and activities are dominated by our sense of sight. Vision is a complex process that not only involves what is seen, but more importantly what is interpreted through sight. That being said, the way that your marketing appears is perhaps more important than what you actually say. Your message is a tapestry of appearance and the written word.

I am incredibly fascinated with the psychology of marketing, which is part of the reason I founded Selden Solutions! I have a great desire to share what I’ve learned with you. There are a number of factors that influence how your message is perceived. Color, for example, impacts mood, emotion, and even appetite! Even the font that you choose can trigger a response from your brain.

Robert Kiyosaki is attributed with saying: “Sight is what you do with your eyes, vision is what you see with your mind.” Over the next couple of weeks here on the blog, I’ll be focusing on making a visual impact with your messaging. We’ll dive deeper into fonts, colors, tone, and much more! Follow along here and on Facebook to learn more about this fascinating topic.
